Eligibility Criteria
If you are interested in participating in the WBJEE 2026, you are required to meet the eligibility requirements:
- BTech: You have passed the Intermediate exam, or going to appear in 2026 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Instead of Mathematics, Biology is required for BTech (Biotechnology).
- BPharm: You have passed the Class 12 exam, and are going to appear in the year 2026 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Notes:
- The minimum requirement in the qualifying examination is 45% as aggregate. For the reserve candidate the minimum requirement is only 40% score as aggregate.
- In case of applying for the BTech (Marine Engineering), you must have secured at least 60% score as aggregate in PCM and 50% in English
- The minimum age requirement is 17 years, and there is no upper age limit cap. The cut-off date to calculate the age is 31 December 2026.
- Candidates applying for the BTech (Marine Engineering) shouldn’t be above 25 years, the age relaxation is applicable for 3 years for OBC-A and OBC-B and 5 years for SC and ST of West Bengal.
- It is mandatory for the applicant to have studied English as a language subject at the Intermediate level.
Application Fee

X are the individuals who are not the male and not the female. Note that the payment of the application is mandatory to apply, it can be paid using the debit card, credit card, NET banking or UPI.
Exam Pattern
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2026 will be held in offline mode using the OMR sheet. It consists of two papers, which are Mathematics or Biology, and Physics and Chemistry.
There will be a total number of 75 MCQs in the Paper 1 from Mathematics or Biology, and Paper 2 has 80 MCQs, 40 from Physics and 40 from Chemistry. You can understand it by going through the table available below.

Each question in Category 1 carries a weightage of 1 mark; and in Category 2 and 3 carries a weightage of 2 marks. Negative marking is applicable for Category 1 and Category 2 MCQs, for each incorrect response 0.25 mark and 0.5 mark, respectively, is deducted.
To touch the maximum number of questions in each paper, each participant will get the time duration of 2 hours; and the medium of the exam is English & Bengali.
