The University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test is a national-level entrance examination conducted once a year to provide admission to various BTech courses at the UPES, Dehradun.

The application form for the UPESEAT 2026 is already available from September 13, 2025, and the due date to apply for the same is January 20, 2026. Please note that your application will only be accepted if you provide all the details correctly.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for the UPESEAT 2026 are as follows, go through the listed points to check if you are eligible to sit in this entrance exam.
- You are an Indian citizen.
- You have passed the Class 12 Exam with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and English with a 50% score as aggregate.
- You shouldn’t be below the age of 17 years as of October 1, 2026.
Students who are going to participate in the Class 12 Exam for the academic year 2026-27 are also eligible.
Application Fee
In order to apply for the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test 2026, you need to pay the application fee of ₹1,750. It can be paid using the debit card, credit card, NET banking or UPI.
The due date to pay the required amount is the same as the deadline to apply for the UPESEAT 2026. The application fee is non-refundable, which means after paying you won’t get the refund under any circumstances.
Exam Pattern
The UPESEAT 2026 will be held in online (remote proctored) mode with an exam time duration of 2 hours. There will be a total number of 125 multiple-choice type questions will be asked from four different subjects, whose details are:

Each question carries a weightage of 1 mark, and no mark is going to be deducted for incorrect response. The medium of this entrance examination is English only.
