Eligibility Criteria 

To participate in the entrance examination for the two-year B.Ed. program being held in Odisha, it is necessary to meet the eligibility requirements:

  • You are an Indian citizen and a resident of Odisha.
  • You must have completed a bachelor’s degree in any subject or stream from a UGC-recognized university or AICTE-recognized institution.
  • The upper age limit is 28 years, with a 5-year relaxation for candidates belonging to SEBC, SC and ST categories.

Notes:

  • It is also necessary that the individual possesses an Odisha domicile/residency certificate and has studied Odia as a language subject up to at least the 10th Class, for which they will need to provide their 10th marksheet.
  • The minimum requirement in qualifying degree for individuals who have obtained a bachelor’s degree from a UGC-recognized university is 50%, while for those from AICTE-approved institutions, this limit is only 55%. A relaxation of 5% is applicable for SC, ST, and PwBD categories.

Application Fee 

To apply for the Odisha B.Ed Entrance Examination 2026, payment of the application fee is mandatory. Candidates belonging to the UR/SEBC category have to pay ₹500, while the amount is only ₹300 for SC/ST candidates.

The deadline for application fee payment and the deadline for submitting the application form will be the same. The payment methods available for paying the fees will be debit card, credit card, net banking, and UPI.

Exam Pattern 

The entrance exam for the two-year B.Ed. admission will be held in offline mode and will consist of two papers. The first and second paper will have 40 and 60 MCQs, respectively. Detailed information regarding the number of MCQs per paper is given in the table below.

Each question carries one mark. In case of a wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. The maximum time duration allowed for a candidate to attempt both papers is 2 hours. The medium will be both English and Odia, expect for the language section.
