NUSRL Ranchi PhD Offered Courses 2026
The NUSRL Ranchi is offering admission for both full-time and part-time PhD programme, which are:

The duration for the full-time course is three years, the same for the part-time is four years.
If you took admission to full-time programme, you have to be present for full-time during the course; and incase of taking admission for part-time programme, you have to present atleast 30 in campus for each academic year.
NUSRL Ranchi PhD Eligibility Criteria 2026

- PhD In Law: You have pursued LLB from an institution recognised by the Bar Council of India.
- Interdisciplinary PhD: You have pursued Master’s in Economics, Philosophy, Sociology, Political Science or Management from an institution recognised by the University Grant Commission.
The minimum requirement in the qualifying degree is 55% score as aggregate for the General category candidate; individuals who belong to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PH need only 50% marks.
Additionally, it is mandatory that you have qualified the UGC-NET in Law or any offered Interdisciplinary Discipline, and your qualifying fall under any of the following category.
- Category 1: JRF & Assistant Professor
- Category 2: Assistant Professor and PhD
- Category 3: PhD
NUSRL Ranchi PhD Selection Process 2026
The selection process for the NSURL Ranchi PhD Admission 2026 vary based on qualifying category of a candidate. Check the listed points for details:
- Category 1: Interview
- Category 2 & Category 3: UGC-NET Score + Interview
You will be called for the Interview, only if the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi will accept your application form.
They will prepare admission list for the Category-1 candidate based on their performance in the Interview; and for the Category-2 and Category-3 individuals, collection list will be formed based on performance in UGC-NET and Interview with the weightage of 70:30.
