The NERIST Entrance Examination is an admission test conducted once a year by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology in three different levels to provide admission to various undergraduate and certificate courses.

Lateral Entry to B.Tech Degree (3 Years)
3-Year Diploma in allied branch with 60% marks. 5% relaxation is applicable for NCC B/C holders and individuals who have completed a diploma with NERIST.
UR: 30 years; OBC & Female: 33 years; SC / ST / PwD: 35 years
If you are in the final year or semester of qualifying examination, you are eligible to participate in the NERIST NEE 2026.
In order to apply for the NERIST NEE 2026, you have to deposit the application fee. If you belong to UR, OBC or EWS, you have to deposit ₹1,500; individuals who belong to SC, ST and PwBD categories need to pay only ₹1,000.
Exam Pattern
The NERIST NEE 2026 will be held in offline mode with an exam time duration of 3 hours. Refer to the table below to check the number of questions, marking scheme and maximum marks for the course.
