The Manipal Entrance Test is a university-level admission test conducted once a year in two sessions by the MAHE to provide admission to various UG engineering courses at the Manipal campus and its affiliated institutions.

The registration process for the Session 1 of this entrance examination for the academic year 2026-27 is currently underway. The same for Session 2 will be available after the registration for the first session concludes.

MET 2026 Overview

Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for the MET 2026 for the offered engineering undergraduate courses are available below. Refer to listed points to check if you apply for any.

  • You have pass the Intermediate exam with Physics, Chemistry and Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Technical Vocational Subject from a school recognised by the CBSE, CISCE or State Board.
  • The aggregate of three subjects shouldn’t be below 50%; there is no age limit to apply for it.
  • Students who are going to participate in the Class 12 Exam with required subjects from a government recognized school also eligible to apply.

Application & Entrance Test Fee

In order to apply for the Manipal Entrance Test 2026, it is mandatory depositing the application and entrance test fee. Whether you are a male or female and belong to any category, you need to deposit ₹800 and ₹1,400, respectively.

The application and entrance test fee are non-refundable. You can deposit it using the debit card, credit card, or NET banking; ensure that you pay it on time, because without it the application form won’t be processed.

Exam Pattern 

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education will conduct the Manipal Entrance Test 2026 in online mode using the computer-based test, whose medium will be English obly. There will be a total number of 60 questions from different sections, whose details are:

This entrance examination will be administered with the exam time duration of 2 hours, PwBD candidates may get extra timing of 40 minutes. Each question carries a weightage of 4 marks. Negative marking of 1 mark is applicable only for MCQs, not for NAT questions.

  • In the menu bar, click on the “Apply” button.
  • Fill in all the details in the registration form and click on the “Register” button.
  • Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and email address on the website and verify it.
  • Log in using your email address and password to access the application dashboard.
  • Fill in all the required details in the application form.
  • Upload your photograph and signature in the required size and format along with all the necessary documents.
  • Pay the application fee and entrance test fees, and then click on the “Submit” button.
