Application Form
The application form for the IGNOU BEd Admission 2026 will start with the release of notification. Each candidate will have time up to four weeks to apply for it.
To apply for it, you have to provide basic and educational qualification details; attach a photograph, signature and documents; and deposit the fee.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for the IGNOU BEd Admission 2025, it is mandatory that you meet the eligibility criteria.
- You are an Indian citizen and reside in any state or territory.
- You have pursued a bachelor’s degree in any subject from a UGC-recognized institution.
- You have completed two-year DElEd or four-year BElEd from a NCTE-recognized institution.
There is no age limit. For a candidate belonging to UR and EWS, the minimum requirement is 50% score as aggregate; for the OBC, SC, ST and PwBD, the requirement is 45% score.
Application Fee
The payment of the application fee is mandatory to apply for the IGNOU BEd Admission 2026. It is the same for all the categories, you need to pay 1,000 rupees.
Make sure you deposit the required application fee by the deadline. To pay it, you have an option of debit card, credit card, NET banking and UPI.
Exam Pattern
The IGNOU will have the entrance exam for two-year BEd in offline mode using the OMR sheets, in which there will be a total number of 120 MCQs. Refer to the table below for the distribution.

To solve the paper, each candidate will have a time duration of 2 hours—PwBD candidates will get an extra time of 40 minutes of extra timing.
Each question carries a weightage of 1 mark, and there is no negative marking provision. The medium of this entrance exam will be English and Hindi, except for the language section.
