The Film and Television Institute of India Joint Entrance Test is a national-level entrance exam held annually to provide admission to PG diploma and certificate courses in the film and television wing at FTII, Pune and SRFTI, Kolkata.

The FTII JET 2026 is all set to take place across the country at various exam centres for the aspirants seeking admission for the various postgraduate diploma and certificate courses for the academic year 2026-27.
If you are interested in participating in the FTII JET 2026, you may apply for this entrance examination through the official website, https://ftii.ac.in/. Only online application forms are accepted, there is no provision of applying offline.

Eligibility Criteria
The FTII JET 2026 eligibility criteria is given below in terms of nationality, educational qualification and age limit.
- You are an Indian citizen.
- You have pursued a bachelor’s degree in any subject or stream from an institution recognised by UGC or AICTE.
- There is no age limit.
Candidates who are in the final year or semester of their bachelor’s degree, and they are likely to complete by the admission timing, they can apply for this entrance examination.
Application Fee
The payment of the application fee is mandatory to apply for FTII JET 2026. If you are planning to apply for it, please note that the payable amount depends on the applicant’s category, whose details are tabulated below.

It can be paid using your debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Please note that this is non-refundable, meaning that under no circumstances will a refund be issued once you have made the payment.
Exam Pattern
The FTII JET 2026 will be conducted in offline mode and will have a total duration of 3 hours in only English medium. This entrance examination consists of two papers, the details of which are provided in the table below.

The paper will have a total of 50 MCQs, each worth 1 mark, and there will be no deduction of marks for incorrect answers as there is no provision for negative marking. Regarding Paper 2, it may contain 5 to 8 questions, and the weightage of each question may vary.
