Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply online for the CUET PG 2026, it is mandatory that you meet the eligibility criteria given below.
- You are an Indian citizen and live in a territory or state of the country.
- You have completed a bachelor’s degree in the respective subject from a university recognized by the University Grant Commission.
There is no upper age limit cap to sit in the CUET PG 2026. If you are in the final year or semester of your undergraduate courses, you may apply for this exam.
Application Fee
The payment of the application fee is mandatory to apply for the CUET PG 2026. It differs from category to category; refer to the listed points for more details.
- UR: ₹1,400 (up to 2 papers), ₹700 extra per paper
- EWS or OBC-NCL: ₹1,200 (up to 2 papers), ₹600 extra per paper
- SC, ST, or TG: ₹1,100 (up to 2 papers), ₹600 extra per paper
- PwBD: ₹1,000 (up to 2 papers), ₹600 extra per paper
- OI: ₹7,000 (up to 2 papers), ₹3,500 extra per paper
Make sure you deposit the fee by the due date set by the National Testing Agency; it can be paid using a debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI.
The UR stands for Unreserved, EWS for Economically Weaker Section, OBC-NCL for Other Backward Class-Non Creamy Layer, SC for Scheduled Caste, ST for Scheduled Tribe, TG for Transgender, PwBD for Person with Benchmark Disability, and OI for Outside India.
Exam Pattern
The NTA will conduct the CUET PG 2026 in online mode using the CBT. A total of 75 MCQs will be asked from the opted subject; each question will be of 4 marks, and there will also be a provision of negative marking of 1 mark.
To touch the maximum number, each one will get a time duration of 90 minutes; PwBD will get an extra timing of half an hour. The medium of the exam will be English and Hindi, but for the MTech and higher sciences, it will be only English.
