The Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test is an entrance exam conducted once a year for candidates who want to get admission to the two-year Bachelor’s of Education in various NCTE-recognized institutions in the state.

This entrance exam will be conducted in 2026 by the Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. If you want to participate in the AP EdCET 2026, you need to apply online for it.

Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria to apply for the AP EdCET 2026 is given below, go through the listed points to check if you are eligible to participate in this entrance exam.

  • You are an Indian citizen and you live in Andhra Pradesh. 
  • You have pursued/completed a Bachelor’s degree in subject or stream from a university or institution recognised by the UGC.
  • Your age shouldn’t be below 19 years as of July 1, 2026.

Notes:

  • The minimum requirement in the qualifying examination is only 50% score as aggregate; for the reserved category candidates, it is only 40% score. 
  • Individuals who have pursued BE/BTech with Mathematics and Physics need a 55% score as aggregate. 
  • There is no upper age limit to participate in the AP EdCET 2026.

Application Fee

In order to apply for the AP EdCET 2026, you need to pay the application fee. For the individuals who belong to Open Category or Backward Class need to deposit the payment of ₹650.

Candidates who belong to SC and ST need to pay ₹500. You can deposit it using the debit card, credit card, NET banking or UPI. The due date to pay the fee is going to be the same as the application form submission due date.

Exam Pattern 

The AP EdCET 2026 will be conducted in the CBT mode with a time duration of 2 hours. There will be also a total number of 100 objective type questions from the different sections, whose details are:

Each question carries a weightage of 1 mark, no mark is going to be deducted for the incorrect response. The medium of this entrance exam is English and Telugu, except for the language section.

  • Find and click on the option that reads ‘AP EdCET 2026’ and get redirected to the next page.
  • Tap on the ‘Fee Payment’ button and pay the required amount using the opted payment gateway.
  • Login with the acknowledged number and date of birth, and access the application form.
  • Enter basic and educational qualification details, and then upload necessary documents with photographs and signatures.
  • Review your application form, and click on the Submit button to apply for the AP EdCET 2026.
