The Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test is an entrance examination conducted once a year by the Directorate of School Education in Andhra Pradesh to provide admission to the two-year D.El.Ed programme in NCTE-recognized institutions.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for the AP DEECET 2026 are listed below, go through the following points to check if you are eligible to sit in this entrance examination.
- You are an Indian citizen and you reside in Andhra Pradesh.
- You have passed the 12th Class Exam from as school recognised by APBIE or CBSE.
- You must turn atleast 17 years as of December 31, 2025.
There is upper age limit; the minimum requirement in the Intermediate is 50% score as aggregate, the same for for reserved category (SC, ST and PH) candidates is 45% score.
Application Fee
In order to apply for the AP DEECET 2026, the payment of the application fee is mandatory. Whether you are a male or female, or belong to any category (OC, BC, SC, ST or PH), you need to pay the amount of 750 rupees.
The application fee can be paid using the debit card, credit card, NET banking or UPI. It is totally non-refundable, ensure that you pay it by the official due date, otherwise you won’t be able to apply for this entrance examination.
Exam Pattern
The AP DSE will conduct the AP DEECET 2026 in online mode with an exam time duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. There will be a total number of 100 MCQs from two different parts: A and B, Part A details are inside the table below.

In the Part-B, question will be from the choosen subject. They are Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science and Social Studies. For correct response, 1 mark will be allotted, and there is no provision of negative marking.
