If you want to get admission to a three-year LLB or five-year LLB programme at a college affiliated with Punjab University for the academic year 2026-27, you can apply for this entrance examination.
The Panjab University will release the application form for the PU LLB Entrance Exam 2026 very soon, and it will be available for four weeks. You are requested to apply at the earliest to avoid the last-minute rush.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for the PU LLB Entrance Exam 2026 are as follows, go through the listed points to check if you are eligible to apply.
3-Year LLB
- You are an Indian citizen, and domicile of Punjab.
- You have pursued a bachelor’s degree in subject from a university recognised by the UGC with at least 45% (40% score for the reserved category candidates) score as aggregate.
- There is no age limit.
5-Year LLB
- You are an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Punjab.
- You have passed the Class 12 Exam with at least 50% score (45% for the reserved category candidates) score as aggregate.
- You shouldn’t be below 17 years as of December 31, 2026.
If you are going to participate in Class 12 Exam for the academic year 2025-26, you apply for a 5-Year LLB; individuals who are in the final year or semester of their bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for a 3-Year LLB programme.
Application Fee
The payment of the application fee is mandatory to apply for the PU LLB Entrance Exam 2026. The payment amount depends on your category and the course you want to apply for. Refer to the table to check the details about it.

The application fee can be paid any of the provided payment gateway; and note that it is non-refundable i.e. after paying the application fee you won’t get a refund under any circumstances.
Exam Pattern
The PU LLB Entrance Exam 2026 will take place in offline mode with an exam time duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. There will be a total number of 100 objective-type questions from different sections, whose details are as follows:

The medium of this entrance exam is only English; for each correct response, you will get 1 mark; and in case of incorrect answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.
