The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination is a national-level admission test conducted annually by the National Testing Agency for admission to classes 6 and 9 in various Sainik Schools across the country at various exam centres.

AISSEE 2026
The National Testing Agency is going to conduct the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination 2026 in January. All students who are interested in getting admission to various Sainik Schools for the academic year 2026-27 across the country will participate in it.
The notification and application form for the AISSEE 2026 was released by the NTA on October 10, 2025. The last date to apply was November 9, 2025. As in previous years, a large number of students have applied to participate in this entrance exam this year as well.

City Intimation Slip & Admit Card
The advance city intimation slip for the All India Sainik School entrance examination 2026 has been released on January 6th. All applicants can access it through the web-portal to see which city they need to visit to take the entrance exam.
The admit card is released after the advanced city intimation slip. The NTA has released the admit card for this entrance examination on January 12, 2026. All candidates can now download it by logging in to the website. Make sure to print a copy after downloading it, as you will need to carry it to the examination center.

- Go to the official website of the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination.
- Click on the “Admit Card for AISSEE 2026” option.
- Enter your application number and date of birth, and then click on the login button.
- After successful login, your admit card will be displayed. Click on the download option to save it to your device.
Exam Date & Time
The National Testing Agency will conduct the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination 2026 on Sunday, January 18. It will be held in a single shift, starting at 2:00 PM and continuing until 4:30 PM for Class 6 and until 5:00 PM for Class 9.
Exam Pattern
The AISSEE 2026 will be conducted by the NTA in offline mode. There will be a total of 125 and 150 multiple-choice questions for students of classes 6 and 9 respectively, the details of which are given in the table below.

The exam duration for Class 6 and Class 9 applications will be 2.5 hours and 3 hours respectively. The medium of this entrance exam will be English and Hindi for Class 6, and only English for Class 9, and there is no provision for negative marking.
