JEE Advanced 2026 Overview

Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for the JEE Advanced 2026, the eligibility requirements are made public. Go through the listed points to check if you are eligible to apply.
- You are an Indian citizen.
- You have participated in the JEE Main 2026 Paper 1, and you are among the top 2,50,000. For which the reservation are:
- EWS – 10%
- OBC-NCL – 27%
- SC – 15%
- ST – 7.5%
- UR – Remaining
- You shouldn’t be above 24 years as of October 31, 2026, and the relaxation is applicable for 6 years for SC, ST and PwBD.
- You mustn’t have appeared in the JEE Advance for two times, consecutively, in 2024 and 2025.
- You have passed the Class 12 Exam with PCM in 2025, or are going to appear in 2026.
The minimum requirement in the Intermediate is 75% score as aggregate; for the SC, ST and PwBD candidates, one needs only 60% score.
Application Fee
In order to apply for the JEE Advanced 2026, the payment of the appointment fee is mandatory. The table below carries the details about the application fee.

Individuals who belong to the PwBD category are required to pay 1,400 rupees, make sure you deposit the required amount by the due date because without it your application won’t be accepted.
Exam Pattern
The IIT Roorkee will conduct the JEE Advanced 2026 in the CBT mode, in which there are two papers. There will be a total number 102 questions (51 in each paper, and 17 from each subject: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).
The question type are multiple-choice questions, numerical-answer type questions, and matching type questions, which carries the weightage of 3 marks, 3 marks, and 1 mark, respectively. Negative marking is applicable only MCQs.
To touch the maximum number of questions in each paper, an applicant will have time duration of 3 hours. PwBD candidates will get extra timing for each paper. The medium of the exam is going to be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.

- Find and click on the ‘New Registration’ option get redirected to the registration page.
- Register with your JEE Main 2026 Application Number, and other required details.
- Login to access the application form, and then provide details, attach documents with photograph and signature.
- Deposit the required application fee through the opted payment gateway, and then click the Submit button to apply online.
