KEAM 2026: Application Form, Exam Pattern, Eligibility Requirements

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, held the  Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Entrance Examination annual to administrate the admission for the BPharm and BTech programmes.

Candidates who are seeking admission for undergraduate engineering and pharmacy courses at AICTE-recognised institutions of Kerala in the academic year 2026-27 may apply for the KEAM, once the CEE Kerala releases the application.

Those who are seeking admission for medical or allied and architecture courses in Kerala for the academic year 2026-27 also need to register for the KEAM 2026, the admission for medical or allied and pharmacy is done through the NEET-UG 2026 and NATA 2026.

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply online for the KEAM 2026, it is mandatory that you meet eligibility requirements given below.

  • You are an Indian citizen and you live in Kerala,
  • You have passed the Plus Two (+2) Exam from a school recognised by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan, and
  • You must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026.

Notes:

  • Candidates who are going to sit in board exams in 2026 are also eligible to participate in the KEAM 2026 for both BTech and BPharm.
  • For BTech, one is required to have PCM, but for Biotechnology stream, the PCB is required; for BPhram program, you can have either PCB or PCM.
  • The minimum requirement as aggregate in the PCB or PCM is 45% score, the same for reserved category candidates is 40%.

Application Fee

In order to apply for the KEAM 2026, the payment of the application fee is mandatory. The payable amount is 875 rupees for the Unreserved and Other Backward Class, and individuals who belong to Schedule Caste, need to pay only 375 rupees.

Schedule Tribes candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee. It is mandatory that you deposit the required amount by the due date using the debit card, credit card, NET banking or any other provided payment gateway.

The application fee for UR and OBC for applying for the Medical & Allied and Pharmacy is 625 rupees, the same for SC is only 250 rupees, and the ST individuals are exempted for its payment.

Exam Pattern 

The CEE Kerala will conduct the KEAM 2026 in computer-based test mode, a total number of 150 MCQs and 75 MCQs asked for the BTech and BPharm, whose question distribution are:

Each question carries a weightage of 4 marks, and 1 mark is going to be deducted for each incorrect response. The time duration for BTech is 3 hours, and for the BPharm is 90 minutes. The medium of this entrance exam is English.

How to Apply?

The application process for the KEAM 2026 is quite easy, go through the step-by-step instructions to apply. 

  • Go to the official website of the CCE Kerala at cee.kerala.gov.in.
  • Find and click on the KEAM 2026 Registration option.
  • Register with your Name, Mobile Number and Mobile Number.
  • Login with your user ID and password and access the application dashboard.
  • Fill in your application form by providing all the details accurately.
  • Upload documents with photograph and signature, as per requirement.
  • Deposit the required application fee choosing one of the provided payment gateway.
  • Review your application form, and click on the Submit button to apply for the KEAM 2026.
