The TGCHE offers admission for ME, MTech, MPharm, MArch and PharmD (Post Baccalaureate) in universities, affiliated engineering, pharmacy and architecture colleges through the TG PGECET.
The Telangana Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test is held once in a year by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad on behalf of the TGCHE, in which thousands of candidates participate.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for the TG PGECET 2026 are as follows, go through the listed points to check if you are eligible to apply for this entrance exam.
- ME/MTech:Bachelor’s of Engineering or Technology from an institution recognised by the AICTE.
- MPharm: Bachelor’s of Pharmacy from an institution recognised by the AICTE.
- MArch: Bachelor’s of Architecture from a university recognised by the AICTE.
- PharmD (Post Baccalaureate): Same as the qualification required for the MPharm.
It is mandatory that you have achieved at least 50% score in the qualifying exam; for the reserved category candidates i.e. Schedule Tribes and Scheduled Caste, the minimum requirement is 40%.
Notes:
- Candidates who are in the final year or semester of the qualifying exam are eligible to participate in the TS PGECET 2026.
- There is no age limit to participate in this entrance exam, any age group of candidate can apply.
- It is mandatory that the applicant is a permanent resident of India, and he or she lives in Telangana.
Application Fee
In order to apply for the TG PGECET 2026, it is mandatory that you deposit the application fee. Refer to the table below to check what you have to pay.

Exam Pattern
The JNTU Hyderabad will conduct the TG PGECET 2026 in online mode using the CBT. A total number of 120 MCQs will be asked from the core subject, each question will be of 1 mark and no mark will be deducted for incorrect response.
To solve the maximum number of questions in the TG PGECET 2026, each applicant will get a time duration of 2 hours, and the medium of this entrance examination is English and Telugu.
