BITSAT 2026: Admission Test Date, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science is offering admission for BTech, BPhram, and Integrated MSc for the academic year 2026-27 through the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test at their campuses: Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

The BITS, Pilani has released the notification for the BITSAT 2026, if you are interested in getting admission for any undergraduate (engineering or pharmacy) and Integrated postgraduate (science), you may apply through the web-portal.

BITSAT 2026 Overview 

The BITS, Pilani is all set to conduct the BITSAT 2026 in two sessions, the first will take place in April 2026, and the second in May 2026. Refer to table below to check an overview of the entrance exam.

The important dates for the counselling for the academic year 2026-26 is yet to be announced by the BITS, Pilani.

Eligibility Criteria 

In order to apply for the BITSAT 2026 for  BTech, BPharm and Integrated MSc, it is mandatory that you meet the eligibility requirements:

  • BTech: You have passed the Class 12 Exam with PCM from a government-recognized school.
  • BPhram: You have passed the Class 12 Exam with PCB from a government-recognized school.
  • Integrated MSc: Same as the qualification required for BTech.

Notes:

  • Appearing candidates are allowed, if you are going to participate in the Class 12 in 2026, you may apply for this entrance exam. Note that you can apply for this entrance exam only if you have passed Intermediate in 2025.
  • You have secured atleast 75% score as aggregate of PCB or PCM, must have achieved atleast 60% score in each: Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • There is no age limit in applying for the BITSAT 2026.

Application Fee

The payment of the application fee is mandatory to apply for the BITSAT 2026, refer to table below to check what you are required to deposit in you want to appear in India or Nepal.

Incase of applying for the centre in Dubai, the amount you have to deposit is 7,250 rupees for a single session; the same for both is 9,240 rupees.

Exam Pattern 

The BITS Pilani will conduct the BITSAT 2026 in online mode using the computer-based test, there will be a total number of 130 MCQs in this entrance exam, whose distribution details:

Each question carries a weightage of 3 marks, and there is also a provision of negative marking of 1 mark. To touch all MCQs, you will have time duration of 3 hours, extra an hour will be provided to all the PwBD candidates.

Incase of touching all the questions, 12 bonuses questions will be provided, and the participant may touch them. Extra timing won’t be provided to solve the bonus questions, the medium of the exam will be only English.

How To Apply?

In order to apply for the BITSAT 2026 for Season 1 and/or 2, please follow the step-by-step instructions.

  • Go to the official website of the BITS Admission at https://admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in/.
  • Click on the BITSAT 2026 Registration, and get redirected to registration page.
  • Register with your name, mobile number and email address to access the application.
  • After registration, you need to login with your user ID and password, and start filling the form.
  • Make sure you provide all the details accurately, and upload photograph, signature and documents, as per requirement.
  • Pay the application fee, review all the details you have provided, and then click the Submit button to finalize your application.
